Floating Nest is a Spanish Experimental ProgRockBand founded in 2019 in a small town in Sweden.
Our music is based on the creation of sensations and creative atmospheres that surrounds the listener without leaving aside the heavy and irregular rhythms and the musical influence of different cultures that subtly pervade the compositions.
Music is life and Floating Nest is good music.

FLOATING NEST: A MANIFESTO TOWARDS THE FUTURE

Roots and Legacy
It is impossible to understand our identity without paying tribute to the giants of the 1970s. We owe everything to the pioneers who dared to break the three-minute mold, fusing jazz, classical, and rock to build the sonic cathedrals we inhabit today. Their mastery is the sacred foundation upon which Floating Nest raises its own voice.

The Essence of Progression
However, we believe that progressive music, by its very definition, is a living organism. If the genre taught us anything, it was to always look forward, to shatter boundaries, and to embrace the unexplored.
Being a true enthusiast of this art form does not mean being a hostage to nostalgia, but rather an explorer of tomorrow. We do not seek to protect the legacy by treating it as a static relic; instead, we aim to keep it vibrant through innovation and the honesty of the present.

Our Creative Ethics
Faithful to this spirit of independence, at Floating Nest we have made decisions that honor quality over immediacy:

• Sonic Commitment: Our production shuns aggressive compression. We want the listener to perceive every nuance and every dynamic intention, recovering the fidelity that mass-market technology so often sacrifices.
• Independence and Coherence: As a statement of principles and in defense of the artist's dignity, we have chosen to keep our work off platforms like Spotify. We believe in a fairer musical ecosystem and in spaces where music is treated as culture, not just as an algorithmic commodity.

The Invitation
We do not ask for a listen out of obligation, but out of curiosity. We invite listeners and specialists alike to stop looking in the rearview mirror and tune in to the pioneers of today. We are here, we consider ourselves part of the family, and we are ready to continue the journey that began five decades ago.
